Hello,
Iām currently on a break from the podcast and decided to go on a short holiday with my husband and our two-year-old since it was my birthday at the end of April. On the way to the airport, I started questioning whether travelling with my daughter to Corfu was a good idea when she started crying in her car seat.
My daughter hates being strapped in anything so it was also difficult on the plane during take-off because her seat belt had to be buckled. I donāt think there was anyone on our EasyJet flight who didnāt know there was a crying toddler on the plane. Fortunately, once the seat belt sign was off and she was unbuckled, she slept for the rest of the journey.
I knew that getting to our destination would be challenging so I wanted where we would be staying to be as relaxing as possible. So, I booked an all-inclusive resort with a kidsā club and my daughter went for 3 hours most mornings.
The first time I travelled with my daughter when she was one, I recorded an episode about the mistakes I made and what Iāve learnt from travelling with a young child. I still havenāt figured out how to make travelling with a young child as stress-free as possible but I think each time I travel with her, it gets a ālittleā bit easier. You can listen to the episode here.
š Whatās new on the podcastā¦
I made a decision at the start of the year to release podcast episodes in seasons because it would make things more manageable for me. So, I released the last episode of this season which was a Q&A on creating content when it seems like there are already a lot of content creators. My brother, Korede joined me on the episode and we talked about our content creation journeys and what weāve learnt and shared a little advice. (Listening time, 15:43)
š§ What Iāve enjoyed listening toā¦
Run, Bambi, Run. Itās an Apple Original podcast on a 23-year-old ex-police officer and Playboy Bunny - Laurie Bembeneck whoās accused of killing her husbandās ex-wife in Milwaukee, sent to prison and finds a way to break out of the prison sheās in. The story sounds fictional but itās actually a true-life story. The podcast explores whether she was framed by the Milwaukee Police Force because they saw her as a troublemaker who was going to expose all their terrible practices. Itās a limited series and I liked that I could just binge-listen while doing things around my house.
š Listener feature with my husband, Ayo
